Aloha, Parents!

Lacrosse season is beginning, and I wanted to introduce myself and get you all ready for a great season. I'm Eve Meek and am the current Ford Island / Central Oahu President for AYLA. We've pulled together great coaches to coach your sons and daughters, and we are always looking for more volunteers to help coach, referree, or be team parents. Please don't let limited knowledge of lacrosse stop you from volunteering. The more, the merrier. We need you, and the kids need you!

Practices start the week of 2/24/20:

  • Girls' practices with Coach Alie are on Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm - 6:30 pm
  • Boys' practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays also from 5 pm - 6:30 pm
    • Coach Will is coaching the peewees
    • Coach Dave is coaching the elementary team
    • Coach Connor is coaching the middle schoolers

All the practices are at the NOAA fields on Ford Island. From the bridge, take your second exit off the circle, drive past the NOAA building on your right, and the big field next to the parking lot is where you'll find the practice field, before you get to the Ford Island Landing neighborhood. You can park either in the parking lot or along the main road next to the field.

Gear rental is Saturday 2/22 from 11:00am - 12:00 pm at A-American Self Storage, 720 South Street (enter on Mission St).  Please register to rent gear at alohalax.org and bring a deposit check. Contact Eric Martin at (808) 772-3554 with any questions.

Some of our teams are still pretty small, and we are always looking for more kids to join - please spread the word and help us grow our teams.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. You can call or text me at 860-449-3859. I'll be moving back to the mainland in a couple of months, so think about if you'd like to join the AYLA team and represent this area going forward.
